Luangisa African Gallery works directly with a group of 15 Buhera master craft women to bring you the finest Tonga Buhera baskets. These basket vase bowls are woven by hand from Ilala palm fibers native to Zimbabwe, using the over and under style of simple weaving. A large 16-inch vase basket can take around two weeks to complete, which provides a sustainable source of income for their families.
