It’s Mount Vernon’s ultimate African festival. This year, the Wakanda Celebration brings a great lineup of artists to Traphagen School including PitsRa YaMabala, Tina Kakolaki, The Scrubs Band, Bokandeye African American Dance Theater, and The Revelators Dance Troupe.

Music and dance are a staple of African culture, and their breadth and versatility will be on full display at the Wakanda Celebration. Experience the vibrant and diverse nature of live African and African-influenced music with musical performances from PitsRa YaMabala, Tina Kakolaki, Mike Phillips, and The Scrubs Band.
